Every year I get the same message within about a week of a trip selling out.
"I was going to sign up, I just needed a few more days."
I hate that message. So this year we are doing it differently. Our 2027 group trips start launching in October, and before they go public, everyone on the waitlist gets the booking link a full 24 hours early.
That is the whole point of the waitlist. Not marketing emails. A head start.
Below you will find every 2027 trip with dates and approximate pricing, so you can start figuring out time off and budget now instead of scrambling in October
Where we are going in 2027!
Six destinations, two of them running twice, and four trip leaders between them. Every route on this list has been walked and vetted by our team before we ever sold a spot on it, and every trip runs with expert local guides alongside your Travel Light leader. Having four leaders is also how we are able to run trips this close together on the calendar.
They are listed in calendar order, so you can see what fits your summer. Pricing is approximate and subject to change until booking opens. Trip costs cover your hosted itinerary, accommodations, local guides, and the meals listed in each trip's full details. International flights are not included.
Peru: Trek to Machu Picchu
June 12 to June 20, 2027 · led by Olivia Reyes · from ~$3,800
Cusco to Machu Picchu, with adventures through the Sacred Valley, a stunning multi day trek, and the kind of food and culture that makes you want to stay an extra week. If you have one big bucket list trek in you, this is often the one.
Slovenia Hike & Swim
June 20 to June 25, 2027 · led by Melanie Tucci · from ~$3,400
Alpine hikes through the Julian Alps, swims in rivers so clear they look filtered, mountain towns that feel invented, and enough food to justify all of it. This is the trip for people who want their hiking days broken up by actual swimming. It is also our shortest and most affordable trip of the year.
Dolomites: Val Gardena Huts

Hut to hut hiking through the Dolomites, built for anyone who wants a real taste of the experience without committing to a longer trek. If you have always been curious about sleeping in a mountain hut but are not ready for a full week on the trail, start here.
Peaks of the Balkans

Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro on a genuinely remote mountain route. Rugged trails, hosts who feed you like family, and scenery most people have never seen a photo of. Eleven days, and the best value on the calendar for the amount of trail you cover.
Dolomites: Alta Via 1
July 11 to July 19 or July 25 to August 2, 2027 · led by Laura Lennington · from ~$4,800
Seven days and six nights on one of the most iconic treks on earth, through the Italian Dolomites, staying in rifugios along the way. The AV1 is the trek I get asked about more than any other, and doing it with a group takes the entire rifugio booking nightmare off your plate. Two departures this year, because it sells out.
Tour du Mont Blanc
July 17 to July 26 or July 31 to August 9, 2027 · led by Sam Eggleston · from ~$5,900
Seven days circling Mont Blanc through France, Italy, and Switzerland, with a spa rest day and a mix of hotels and mountain refugios. Three countries, three cuisines, one very famous mountain that looks different from every angle. This is our flagship trip and our most in demand, which is why we run it twice.

Why the waitlist actually matters
I want to be straightforward about this, because "join the waitlist" can sound like a marketing formality. Here is what you actually get.
24 hours of early access. When 2027 trips open for booking, waitlist members get the link a full day before the public. That is a day to reserve your spot without competing with everyone else.
A real shot at a spot. Our groups are small on purpose. That is what makes them work, and it is also why spots go quickly. Early access means first dibs.
Time to plan. You get launch dates and full trip details straight to your inbox, which gives you room to request time off, budget for it, and even start training before booking opens. Nobody makes a good decision about a week long trek in a four hour panic.

Travel Light is a female owned adventure company built around small group travel. We believe people are meant to be outside, moving their bodies, sharing meals, and connecting with each other.
On our trips the group becomes a team. We cheer each other on, laugh our way through the tough stretches, and reach every summit and every hut together. Each trip is hosted by one of our Travel Light hosts alongside expert local guides who help you see each place more deeply than you could on your own.
You do not need to be the fastest hiker or the most seasoned traveler to come with us. Come solo or bring someone. Just show up prepared, curious, and ready to give it your best.

Frequently asked questions
When exactly do 2027 trips open? Many of them launch in October 2026. Exact dates go to the waitlist first, which is the point of being on it.
Is the pricing above final? It is approximate and could shift slightly before booking opens. It is close enough to budget from, and waitlist members get final pricing before anyone else.
What is included in the price? Your hosted itinerary, accommodations, local guides, and the meals listed in each trip's details. International flights are not included.
Does joining the waitlist commit me to anything? No. It gets you the details and the early booking link. You decide from there.
What if I only care about one trip? Join anyway. The waitlist covers all six, and you can ignore the ones that are not for you.
